This year, Amity Law School, Noida is hosting the 5th
edition of the Amity International Moot Court Competition, and this time, the
moot is completely paper-less. This is an initiative which shows are support
for our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of Digital India,
and is also a step towards protecting our environment, because by going
paperless, we save thousands of sheets of paper that are used in traditional
moots.
We pitched the idea to prominent people of our country, and
have been graced by their acceptance of our invitation to judge the
competition. The judges’ panel for this event includes, but is not limited to,
a Supreme Court judge, two Delhi High Court judges, and a few senior advocates.
We have almost 40 teams competing, including a team each
from Sri Lanka and Nepal, which will no doubt help promote relations between
our countries.
The event starts today, at the moot court hall of I2 Block
in Amity University. Teams have already started arriving.
